The Chinese government is a notch above the Japanese government.

The Japanese government recently protested China because a ship from the Chinese government did an oceanic survey in Japan’s Exclusive Economic Zone off Miyagi without any permission. It is a violation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

As I guessed, China did not apologized to Japan; however, their response seems to be unable to bring forward a counterargument. They answered that their ship did an oceanic survey outside Japan’s EEZ and they simply passed it.

I guess the Japanese government, as well as the US Navy, has the evidence photographs; however, the Japanese government will not use the photos. Because Japan cannot get close behind China. If they do that, the incident last fall between the two countries tells what will happen again. And, the Chinese government well knows it and they probably chose the answer. It is a poor rapid-fire two-man comedy act.
