According to the Japanese press, there was a producer at the major state television broadcaster in China, CCTV, who was suspended from his duties because he reported on the train crash.

Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.
