Today there was a festival called the "sand festival" at a place about an hour away by car from my house.

I went for a walk along the beach to look at the sand sculptures. It was a hot day, but it was still nice.

Since it was not a very exciting or active event, like the masculine and wild festivals that often take place throughout Japan, it was not packed at all.

I personally like more lively festivals though, but it's good to sometimes put myself in a place like this.

I'm going to attach some pictures I took today.

Well, while I was writing this journal, I rubbed my drowsy eyes because I was so sleepy. It looks like this is going to be a very boring diary.

I sure hope not!
