I love my current job. It may not pay much, but because of it I have been able to communicate with many kinds of people in Japan.

Housewives who moved to another country because of their husband's job transfer, students who are doing their best to prepare for university exams (and yawn endlessly due to lack of sleep during my lesson), ambitious businessmen who want to start their own business abroad, medical workers who work endlessly at their hospital, retired people that finally want to start learning languages.

Sometimes people are just curious and want to learn about another culture.

Other times I've had quite eccentric people. Such as a lonely man who keeps smoking and yelling loudly during our lesson. He seems to hear only what he says. Whenever I answer his grammatical question, he just continues on to the next one.

Sometimes students make me want to fall asleep....(especially housewives...I don't know why. I have nothing against housewives though, they are awesome too)

I love talking with my lawyer student the most. Discussing political and social issues in different countries is quite fascinating. Time really flies when we talk.

One time I remember there was a famous singer that had a student interview with me. I was surprised when I saw her and heard her in this music video.

I especially like this song.

I haven't had a lesson with her these days though, which is a bit sad...

Recently I talked with a brain surgeon for the first time. Talking about brain surgery in detail was a bit uncomfortable at first, but then gradually it became a little interesting.

Being able to talk with so many people is truly a miracle.

One day though I know I will have to change my job...

So I will enjoy my current job as much as possible : )

By the way, a few days ago one of my students showed me this.
