I watched Bohemian Rhapsody last Friday.

It lives up to its reputation and is such a great film!

You might have already seen this movie or have read some of your friends’ entries about it.

About Queen, to be honest, I hadn’t listened to their songs in their golden age.

Even so, when I heard the song “We Are the Champions” for the first time, I deeply moved with their powerful music and strong impact.

Besides, I remembered that I’d often listened to the song “Bicycle Race” on the radio.

At the time, all I was able to understand was the parts of singing “We are the Champions, my friends” and “Bicycle bicycle bicycle! I want to ride my bicycle.”

I’d like to get back to the title and talk about this movie, but I think I shouldn’t write anything this time because I fell asleep in the middle of the movie because I took medicine.

What a shame!

By the way, before I watched this movie, I watched an NHK TV show about Bohemian Rhapsody and Queen.

It was such a fantastic TV show!

Fortunately, I recorded it, so I’ve already watched it over seven times so far.

It was very enjoyable and helpful to learn a lot of things such as very mysterious Bohemian Rhapsody’s lyrics, how those intelligent members of Queen made the multiplex recording in the opera part using over 180 trucks, the reason why they sent their promotion music video to a TV live show, and Freddie Mercury’s life.

And what’s more, I also learned that Bohemian Rhapsody became No. 1 song from 20th century in the UK.

Finally, in the TV show, some scene brought tears my eyes.

I still wonder how Freddie had have felt when he had been writing the lyrics because there was “Goodbye to everybody. I’ve got to go.”

I can't help but think that he might have written it as he had known he would die young.

それでも、「We Are the Champions」を初めて聴いた時、パワフルな音楽と強い影響力に感動しました。

「Bicycle Race」がラジオからよく流れてきて、聴いていたのは憶えています。

その頃、私が聞き取れたのは、We are the Champions, my friends と bicycle bicycle bicycle! I want to ride my bicycle の部分だけでした。
