Years ago, I read a biography about a larger-than-life slugger in MLB named Babe Ruth, since then I become a die-hard Yankee fan.

Actually, Yankee has the most fans in Taiwan, and its ratings is also better than other matches.

However, Spending spree on famous star players also make it has the most haters and earn a name " Evil Empire" .

In Taiwan, Yankee is transliteration so I didn't know what Yankee means in the first place.

After reading Yankee history and the dictionary, I learned that during the civil war, Yankee was used to insult North Americans.

Now, Yankee is no longer negative.

But is it still used to call people from North America now ?
