In Asia, our aesthetics toward a man is greatly influenced by Japanese or Korean idols.

Many Korean male stars boasting thick makeup, eye-shows and a bit of femininity swoon over many Asian girls.

However, many traditionalists who hold the notion that a man should be masculine see these guys with womanhood as an unorthodox.

We often call these feminine guys Niangpao in Chinese..

However, can toughness, mustaches or muscle be used to define a man?

I don't know.

I just think that Hollywood movies play an important role in defining our aesthetics.
