Scientists have counted the number of trees growing on Earth.

A group of scientists from Yale University has counted the total number of trees that grow on our planet.

The largest amount of greenery has proven to be in the territory of Russia, which is 21 percent of the total number. Canada is the second best.
Thomas Crowther and his crew from Yale University set a rather ambitious task that was to count the total number of trees growing on Earth. According to the scientists who were led by Crowther, the largest amount of greenery has been registered in the territory of Russia, which percentage is 21 of the total number. The second best is Canada, although the total number of trees in its territory is almost twice lower than the number of those in Russia.
The crew's encouragers on doing this research were members of the Plant for the Planet organization, who had planted trees within their project in order to prevent global warming. They were wondering how much Earth's flora had been improved by them.
