Anyway, there are two types of adjectives.
If we did not say だ then our teachers would say "your sentence is not finished". I was confused because I never heard Japanese people say "美しいだ".
I only ever heard things like 美しい.
Then my teacher said that when people speak Japanese naturally they would not use だ in such a situation, but we have to do it on our exams.
It's strange, right?! ^^;
It's a small stuff that brings nothing but only an unnatural impression.
Actually, provided it has even の between 美しい and だ like 美しいのだ, it becomes a correct sentence, though the nuance will alter a bit.

Actually I gave up saying what nuance the word has because I felt it too difficult, but you easily expressed it with few words!
