I am getting bored with my long days off because I have not been to anywhere. I hate crowded spots.

Whenever I watch news on TV which showed some areas, amusement parks, and new spots are invariably heavily-crowded with shoppers and visitors, I always think they must be crazy or stupid. Haha.

During my holiday(8days), what I have done is jogging(60km), short walking(10-15min/day), trainning at gym(1-2hr*3times), cooking(on a whim), memorizing English words and phrases(2,000 words), studying a text for TOEIC(400 pages), and watching video of Chinese language lessons(http://fchi.web.fc2.com/). What a colorless life!

Gee, especially I got sick and tired of remember English words. It is almost toture(sigh).

I made “Ichigo Daifuku” today.

I wrote that I was studying English for a crush course in my last diary. When I really think about it though, Chinese language lesson starts on May.
OMG!! I applied for it, didn't I? Because I would not study Chinese unless I'm obligated. I will take a private lesson. I' like to learn a good Chinese accent.

Uhhh, I usually work for long time, even in the weekend, so I don't know how I could make an extra hours for them.

What can I say this situation? It is said that “don't bite off more than you can chew”, isn't it?

I had an intensive English lesson for a week. In this class I learned how to skim and summarize articles, comprehend fast speaking, and deliver a good presentation. I know it is too short to beef up my ability, but I was remembering how to use English while I used only English for eight hours, five days. (I have spoken English the first time for 1 years.)

I'm going to take part in a short course as executive education at Wharton in June. I'm happy to have a lesson at the University in the US. I am studying English by watching presentation videos on Youtube in these days off (Golden Week.) I know I'm emature to enroll the lesson, but I'd like to try.

I am getting used to English, but I wonder I got a muscle ache around my mouth. I guess speaking English uses the defferent muscle, doesn't it? Haha.

Diras gave me a comment that cherry blossoms don’t last very long. Yes, they don’t last so long and it reminds Japanese of farewell because students graduate in the end of March in Japan.

I am enjoying a relaxing weekend. I’m not so busy these days, but I am lazy and procrastinate what I have to do. There are many things I was supposed to do, though...

Time management is an idea just while I am busy, haha. I cannot get done all that I need to do eventually.

I jogged to Tsuruoka Hachiman shrine at Kamakura because I’d like to feel the spring coming and this weekend was the last time to see. Petals of cherry blossoms were dropping like pink snow and accumulating on the road. It looked like a flower carpet.

I always ponder the transience of this mortal life as I watched the cherry petals floating down. I don’t know the reason. Probably I inherit a Japanese DNA, hahaha.

Spring has come. You know, getting warmer it is, being happier I am. I want to jump out from my room, but I can’t.

Spring gale brings pollen and yellow sand. Sky is misted with them. Furthermore, PM2.5 or something is coming from China this year. I’m having a runny nose and very itchy eyes, and uhh, watery eyes. I’m champing to jog along seashore.

Very well, I will go to a gym and run on a treadmill. I have no choice.

In an organization structure, employees for a promotion based on performance eventually are promoted to their highest level of competence, after which further promotion raises them to incompetence. That level is the employee’s “level of incompetence” where the employee had no chance of further promotion, thus reaching their career’s ceiling an organization.

The employee’s incompetence is not necessarily a result of the higher-ranking position being more difficult. It may be that the new position requires different work skill which the employee may not possess. For example, an engineer with great technical skill might get promoted to project manager, only to discover he lacks the interpersonal skills require leading a team.

Thus, work is accomplished be those employees who have not yet reached their level of incompetence.

That makes a sense! I was very convinced when I was reading “The Peter Principle.” Especially, here in Japan, at almost of companies, employees from low level position to CEO tend to work their way up to higher position. They rarely hire CEO, CFO, whatever from a different company as a professional.

I think there is an only hope if this low lacks the idea of employees’ ability to expand their competence by themselves when they reach their higher-level. The position makes an employee to grow up.

From the standpoint of a business person, it is a bad decision to marry you. The answer is very simple, so let me explain.

Put the details aside, what you’re trying to do is an exchange of “beauty” and “money” : Person A provides beauty, and Person B pays for it, fair and square.
However, there’s a deadly problem here, your beauty will fade, but my money will not be gone without any good reason. The fact is, my income might increase from year to year, but you can’t be prettier year after year.

Today, I went to the office to get the rest of my job done even on a holiday. There were some workers in the office.

You know, we live in the cut-throat world. We have to complete hard task in a short time. Sunday night, I usually make a week plane to dash from Monday early morning. I try to work efficiently, however more than 100 emails, relentless phone, and emerging problems eat my time everyday. Yes, I know, this is a real work. I don’t work on an assembly station.

I usually work overtime and deal with the rest of my task on weekends. Probably, I’m a kind of workaholic and chronic overtime worker. I also think I want to leave the office early, but I can’t do it until I finish my job.

Mmmm, I’m ganna eat delicious dinner.

I spent four days in India. It was very warmer and an exciting place.

I went to Noida next to New Delhi and Bangalore called "Indian Silicon Valley" to have meetings with a software company.

What I though was that India is a kind of olio from insanitary dirty things to state of the arts technology even though I saw the limited places.

There ware cows walking down a road across cars,
children beggar coming up to me as soon as I get out of a car,
every spicy food waking me up,
and smart engineers programming all kinds of applications Google to Apple.

Wow! Everything was beyond my imagination.

I didn’t any bellyache because I used a bottle of mineral water even when brushing my teeth.
Haha, too nervous?

However, hot spicy foods, a little fresh vegetable, and lack of sleep disordered my stomach and skin condition. I have to have a lot of vegetable this week.

"Temae-miso" litellary means homemade miso. Miso was used to be made in every home and people blow thier own miso. Its meaning has changed into "self-applause".

Nowaday, we use it as a condescending manner when proposing our own idea.
Say, it is temae-miso, but I propose that my idea is the best to ....

Is there a same word or phrase in English?
It is a subtle defferense from "there is nothing like leather."

I went to Sapporo in Hokkaido.

It was so cold that I coughed one hundred times.(cough-cough)

I used an airline "AirDo" from Haneda to Sapporo, by the way.

I found the cup was so cute when I had it as drink survice.

I'm getting better from the bad flu.

Today, I got a letter from the HR, which was notice of a short seminar for business school.

It said that I have to have a lot of preparation before joining lesson.
Oh, I alomost forgot that I applied for two school in January. I'll be noticed which school in a couple of week.

If I join IMD, the lessons will start from April. Before scraping the rush of my English off, I have to check the course I applied out.

I came home on Friday from China. I went to Shanghai, Hanzhou, Chanchun, and Beijing this time.

How about my travel?
Wonderful! I like China 'cause it is always lively and exiting, but Chanchun was a little bit cold (-28 Celsius degree). Everyday I had full of many kinds of local cuisines.

Probably I gained some wights, but I could not see how much pound I got. As you may know there are four major Chinese cuisine （Peking, Szechwan, Shanghai and Cantonese Cuisine). I like any kinds, but actually some Szechwan are too hot to eat. I maybe shout like Black mayo's “He-Her”! (cf. youtube in Japanese translation)

The most thing I looked forward to was traveling to Shanghai, because I had not been to there and had something to do in Shanhai. I wanted to ride a Mag-lev, go up to the Shanghai World Financial Center, and eating Shanghai hairy crab. You know, I completed all!!

I could die happy right now.

I am packing my belongings.

Everybody makes a new year's resolution or decide to carry through with something such as diet, jogging, and master a second language. When I have things to get done, I choose things NOT to do at the same time due to expanding extra time.

Three things I don't have to do this year are;
do not reply to selfcentered e-mail,
do not watch TV or play TV-games after dinner,
and do not read and write any twitter, Facebook and a bunch of blogs.

I try to keep what I want to complete a habbit.

You know, I used to belong to an office where it was mandatory for promising staffs to take the 7 habits two day course. This was a couple years ago when I was less skeptical than I am now, but I still remember thinking that the course was full of fluff and boring. What I was impressed is staying a luxurious hotel and an absurd expensive lunch. 7 Habits are common sense that any one who has been paying attention in life should already know at a young age. (Did I write same things before?)

Even so, I learned a lot from my experiences and I just believe that “we are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

A radio's DJ on my i-pod said that tips for translation from Japanese into English when I was jogging in this early morning. He seemed to introduce many examples that are hard to translate into English because they are closely-attached with Japanese custom.

We sometimes heard that Olympic athlete said “I got a Gold medal because of “Hirakinaotte”.”
What is “Hirakinaoru?” Basically “Hirakinaoru” is a negative word. It means “changing one's attitude and show a terrible attitude.” It's probably a little like the feeling you say “so what?”.

Japanese is likely to feel pressure if they do something. “What if I would fail?” “What would my parents think about?” “What could I reciprocate supporters?” Finally they are caught in the grips of too much pressures. They try to release their negative thinking and turn “Hirakinaoru.”

The DJ said it is very challengable ward to translate into English, but he chose “turn defiant.” I think his words make sense. While I think we have to rethink Japanese when transrating into English because we tend to use without knowing their own meanings.

I burned up 900 kcal by jogging today, by the way. Hahaha!

I had a lot of travels last year. China, Garmany, and US. It was exciting to spend Black friday in Boston.
I will go to Shanghai this weekend for business. A busy year is starting.

My new years resolution is learning business skill, management, and marketing.
I have applied for a short course of Stanford and IMD. But, I do not know whether my boss would allow me or not.

I was taken into a clunker van. I paid 500 RMB and got a receipt at first. I got relief because I could get company’s compensation as long as I have a receipt.

The van started. A driver looked kind, but only spoke Chinese. After a while, he seemed we lost our destination on the high way. The van ran faster and faster. I was so scared by his reckless drive and van’s squeak noise. The van changed lanes many times and ran honking without giving a turn signal. I wanted to shout something, but I could not speak Chinese at all. I almost died.

He was checking the destination and right way by using his smart phone. You know, you have to type “pinyin” if you want to check something by a Chinese smart phone. Some people without education don’t know pinyin, so he used hand writing recognition application. I admired him for some reason. Somehow I reached a hotel after two hours in thirty minutes distance.

Even in February, Guangzhou was warm and combatable to stay. Probably it was more than 18 degree C

After all, I was not asked anything at immigration. He just checked my passport and glanced at me quickly. Probably they know few people can communicate in Chinese.

I saw many people were introducing to their taxies at exit gate. I almost run through them to avoid their pushy persuasion. As soon as I got a relief and I was standing in line for taxi, a deceptively sweet guy came over to me and asked me in strange English where I would go.

I thought he was a taxi organizer and he checked our destinations in advance.
He checked my destination and said the fee, 500 RMB. I though it is reasonable and said OK, but he stripped my baggage off and took me to another course in the air port.

I saw a big ban waiting for me.

I went to China in February and stayed there about ten days for business. That was my first trip to Asian other country in my life. As you may know, China is a nearest country regarding distance and culture for Japan, but I, or a lot of Japanese people feel that China is one of the far countries due to less communication.

I cannot speak and read Chinese. Character and glyph between Japanese and Chinese look so similar, but different. Besides, pronunciation is totally different. For me, Chinese is more difficult language than English, German, or Spanish.

While I was waiting my flight, I bought a small book, Tabi no yubisasi kaiwacyo China which means it is OK just pointing the picture in the book, in the airport. I practiced some phrases and knew “Oh my goodness. Hopeless! I don’t know how to pronounce.”

During the flight, I was so nervous because I was concerned what I would be asked at immigration. Ahh, I would just say typical answer “for business, around ten days, hotel name” if I would have not understood what they say.

I'm back here, lang-8. I almost haven't entried anything for nearly two years since I moved to new place, Kamakura, from Kyoto, 'cause I didn't contacted Internet.

I have a Galaxy, however, who texts English journals on such a tiny key booard?
I applied for Wifi router to check mail anywhere at last.

Hahaha, I can write up anywhere, anytime, even in Shinkansen:a bullet train.

I found some familiar people was gone, some familiar people were still here in lang-8.

I will write my journal in two years at my own pace.

お久しぶりです。

もどってきました、Lang-8に。京都から鎌倉に引っ越してからほぼ2年間エントリーしていませんでした。ネット接続できませんでしたし。

スマホはもっているのですが、さすがにこれで打つ気にはなれませんでした。
でも、ついにワイファイルータを契約しました。

久々に来てみると、知っている人たちがみかけなくなりましたし、何人かはまだエントリーされていますね。

How are you doing, everybody.
Happy new year!

It’s passed one year since last my diary and it’s passed one and half a year since I moved to Kamakura from Kyoto, hehehe.
I have been spending good days seeing beautiful ocean and eating great seafood in Kamakura.

During one and half a year, changes for me are
new friends and co-workers,
a longer distance to the jog from 7 km to 16 km,
my room from six jyo to two bed rooms and kitchen,
salary raised (^^) ,
and ....I, I am not changed so much, ummm.

P.S. A picture is enoshima island and Mt. Fuji which I took from my jogging course. I took a breath when I saw it for the first time.

I've stayed away from Lang-8 due to some reasons for a half year,
besides, I am afraid that I bolted the premium member.

I am digging over my life these days, which is not what I want to do.
It is not supposed to be this way. Actually I was promoted to someone and moved to Kamakura from Kyoto on August. I spent day after day too busy to take an enough sleeping time.

Sorry for my whining.
I really want to get some response.

I actually have not contracted a new provider at new residece in Kamakura due to some reasons.

My day first in Kamakura was not bad and Shonan is a beautiful place.
