Interesting information..
I guess I should have looked it up myself.. :)

It is quite interesting to know that shisa comes in pairs, and, the left shisa has a closed mouth and the right shisa has an open mouth!
:-)

They told me the open one (female) brings happiness into a house and closed one (male) shuts out any misfortune.

It is incorrect to use اشترى

اشترى تستخدم مع المفرد المذكر مثلا .. هو اشترى
اشتريا تستخدم مع المثنى مثلا .. هما اشتريا

so the correct answer is
أخي و زوجته اشترياهما لي
not
أخي و زوجته اشتراهما لي

it's okay to make mistakes because arabic may sometimes be a little bit confusing<^__^>

Because if we say : اشترياهما Then the first sentence will change and it'll become : هذان شيسا من أوكيناوا في اليابان
