Mar 29th 2011 08:51 Japan earthquake 地震 China
Chinese media strongly criticized Tokyo Power Co and ‘Japan’, which once told incorrect figures about radioactive substances and, a few hours after, corrected them (even twice). However, their arguments seem to be quite strange. The reason is that democracy works on the assumption that powers —not only government, but also any powers— often make mistakes. I am fearful of governments that are working under the assumption that powers never make mistakes, like China, Russia, and such.

Many Japanese are strongly displeased with the Chinese government and media, which say that many Japanese airplanes and cargo ships ‘voluntarily’ go back to Japan from ports in China, without discharging their cargo. Of course, if they say the truth, their actions will break both WTO rules and humanity.
