Music as a window between cultures.

Living in the UK, I often go to concerts of classical music. There are a lot more nice concerts and they're all much cheaper in the UK than in Japan.

Recently, I've realized that classical music concerts are the only occasion I can deeply enjoy Western culture without any obstacles.

TV dramas, plays, films, books, conversations with colleagues and friends, sight seeing, shopping, and so on are all English-dependent. There seems to be an invisible sheet of language barrier separating me and the Western world.

However, listening to amazing music performance (songs are not included) doesn't require English. Thus, music is a window between me and Western culture.
