New blog and new plan! Blogger and Lang-8.

My name is Krzysztof Szumny and this is my first post on http://Blog.KrzysztofSzumny.com/. I am from Poland, Oława. As you can guess, English is not my native language. I am doing my best every day learning English, however I am sure, that I still have to learn a lot.
Nevertheless, I decided that this is a moment, when I should start blogging in a language, which is IMO the most important language for programmers. I am blogging since a while, however I am doing it using Polish language at http://blog.KrzysztofSzumny.PL.
I think I am even not ready, to announce my usual readers, that I created English version of my blog. My English is not perfect and I am to shy to use it among my polish subscribers ;)
I will be posting here once in a while, my English should become better and better... but it will be possible only if I will notice my errors. That's why I will use lang-8 :)
But I am going to use it in a slightly different way ;)
I am going to integrate lang-8 with blogger.com ;)

I still to often use dictionaries and translators...
I am wondering, why should be here "amongst"? It sounds better in this particular sentence? Or maybe you in general you prefer (as this articcle says) "old-fashioned" words? :)
(Sorry I can't give you a better explanation)
I very often use different words, depending whether I am writing or saying something :)
