We often found a street called "御幸通り Miyuki dori (street)" in a historical city like Kyoto. 御幸 historically means the emperor's outing. So, Miyuki dori was originally a street for the emperor to go out.

You can also find actual 御幸 in Genji Monogatari (源氏物語), the world's first love story written by Murasakishikibu(紫式部), femaly storywriter and poet, in BC 1001.
