I am practicing writing in English for TOEFL in order to study abroad in the future after working as a computer software engineer for ten years for some international companies. Actually, I made the decision to study abroad in the face of the closure of the Japan branch last year.

If you catch any mistakes or rooms for improvement in my post, please let me know without any hesitation regardless of how that point is major or minor. Also, any comments are always welcome. I would really appreciate if you would check my English writing in terms of grammar, vocabulary and structure and so do I for your Japanese writing. Thanks in advance. :-)

When I correct your Japanese, especially in the case you are a native English speaker, I might add a brief explanation about the correction if I think I should so that you can understand the point. My point to correct your Japanese is plain and simple. That is if it sounds NATURAL or not for a native Japanese speaker. It's my pleasure to help you improve your Japanese.

みなさん、こんにちは。私はコンピュータのエンジニアです。ソフトウェア開発に10年関わった後、現在は海外の大学への留学を目指して英語を勉強しています。去年、勤めていた日本支社が解散したのを機会に、海外でビジネスについて勉強することを決断しました。10年間のキャリアのうち、6年間は外資系の日本支社に勤めており、英語を日常的に使用していました。アメリカ、インド、中国、韓国、その他ヨーロッパの人々と一緒に働いていた経験があります。

仕事で英語を使っていたものの、留学に必要となるTOEFLの点数はあまりパッとせず、苦しめられています (；一_一) 国内での英語の資格としては英検準1級とTOEIC945点を取得しています(英検はその後1級の1次試験に合格しましたが2次試験で敗退...日本国内では評価が高い試験なのでなんとか取得したいと思います)。

日本語の文章を添削する際には、「自然な日本語」として聞こえるかどうかを判断基準としています。英語を母国語としている方の添削をしていて補足が必要な時には英語で説明を付け加えることもあります。なぜその日本語がふさわしい/しくないのか、微妙なニュアンスや言い回しを含めて、お伝えすることができればいいなと思っています。(⌒_⌒;
