Out of the blue my four-year-old daughter, who was seated on the passengers seat, asked me in a confident way "The bear eats fish, right?" I glanced over at her, while being careful about the front view. "Sure thing. Probably they like salmon, don't they?" I replied, to which she asked me again "Why salmon!?"

Out of the blue my four-year-old daughter, who was seated in the passengers seat / on the passenger's side, confidently asked me,_ in a confident way "Bears eat fish, right?" I glanced over at her, while being careful about the front view.
Out of the blue my four-year-old daughter, who was seated in the passengers seat, asked me in a confident way very confidentially, "Bears eat fish, right?" I glanced over at her, while being careful about the front view. [more natural: I glanced over at her, while keeping an eye on the road ahead]
From the song "Ain't she sweet"(an oldie) :)
Oh, ain't she nice,
Well, look her over once or twice.
Yes I ask you very confidentially:
Ain't she nice?
...
Oh, I repeat
Well, don't you think that's kind of neat?
Yes I ask you very confidentially:
Ain't she sweet?
Hello Jubay,
Your daughter is getting curious about everything, isn't she? She is really cute. :)
They probably like salmon, don't they?" I replied, to which she then replied, "Why salmon!?" Another natural way of saying it: "I bet they like salmon, don't you think?"
Good! I had missed reading you in English. Saludos por allá :)
Happy New Year!
昨年は大変お世話になりました。
