My daughter entered a middle school this April.
( In Japan a new school term starts in April. )
On the day of her entrance ceremony, she was watching movies on YouTube till ten minuetes before her leaving home.
Even though I repeated to try it on, it was only the second time that she put her school uniform.
So she asked me if the uniform had a pocket or not. ( It was five minuetes before!)
She didn't prepare to go to school and her new shoes still had a price tag. ( It was three minuetes before!)
When she went to the entrance, she begged me to bring her a house key.
I was thinking what to say to her, "What should I say? What words make her to prepare for school by herself?"
Though I thought of something, I lost it in front of her.
She cut in a fine figure in the uniform.
I hope that she learns a moderate behavior corresponding her fine look.

My daughter entered a middle school this April. My daughter started middle school this April.
( In Japan a new school year starts in April. :o
On the day of her entrance ceremony, she was watching movies on YouTube until the last ten minutes before she left home. She was watching movies on YouTube and then she left 10 minutes before the entrance ceremony.
Even though I tried to tell her to try her school uniform a few times, this was only the second time that she put it on.
( Now there was five minutes left before the ceremony!)
She didn't prepare to go to school and her new shoes still had the price tag. you are talking about the price tag in her shoes, so you are being specific about which price tag you are talking about. When you are specific you use THE. When you talk about any price tag you use A.
( There was three minutes left!)
What words could encourage her to be ready for school by herself?"
I hope that she learns to dress properly according to her fine look.
Thank you for correction and comment!
On the day of her entrance ceremony, she was watching videos on YouTube till ten minutes before she had to go. (Or, "we" had to go, if you were taking her)
Youtube "videos" are always called videos. If you say she was watching 'movies' it sounds like she spent a LONG time watching multiple movies (more than an hour each).
However, it sounds natural if you say she was watching "A movie" as in an actual film, not short videos.
Even though I repeatedly tried to tell her to try it on, it was only the second time that she put on her school uniform. (= that morning was only...)
"that" is optional
She didn't prepare to go to school and her new shoes still had the price tag on them.
( There were three minutes left!)
I was thinking, "What could I say to her to make her get ready on her own?"
I thought of something but I forgot it when I got back to her.
Is this what you meant? If you say "you lost it" it means you got really really mad at her.
She cut in a fine figure in the uniform. (This is okay, but I don't know anyone who would say it. Maybe, "She looked really nice in her uniform" is more common.)
I hope that she learns to have as good of behavior as her looks.
I think this is what you meant, right? You think she looks nice but her behavior should improve? (to match her appearance?) That's what my correction means.
Also I have to tell her to do her homework instead of play games, and usually have to wake her up in the morning.
じつは、めんどくさい..! We are 20 and I am not her mom! lol. Nothing I say seems to help her become self-motivated though..
なるほど。movieは長いもの、videoは短いものですね。
(*´∀`*)わはは。双子でも性格が違うんですね。あやちゃんは、いいお母さんになれると思います。
