Below other users' entry is a box where you can make corrections.
We shall go through the steps in correcting a journal entry based on an example as shown below.
1. Scroll down to the correction box below the entry that you want to edit.
2. Under the section “Post comment and corrections”, click on "Correct" link below the sentence that you want to correct.
Once you do this, a correction menu will appear below.
3. To correct the errors by entering the correct sentences using the correction tools,
click “correct”. When using the correction tools, select the text you want to correct (click and hold the left mouse button, highlight the text by dragging over it) and then click on the editing tools that you want to use.
Explanations regarding the function of each correction tool are as follows:
“Red” highlights the selected text in red.
“Blue” highlights the selected text in blue.
“Bold” makes the selected text bold.
“Cross out”crosses out the selected text with a horizontal line.
"Unformat":remove all the changes you made.
4. Correct the sentence freely.
Select where you want to emphasize.
While it is highlighted, click on a button you want to use.
5. Once you are done correcting the mistakes, click “correct”
(To quit correcting without making changes, click “cancel”.)
Now, the corrected sentence is displayed below the original sentence. (Be careful: your corrections are not finalized yet).
6.Using the same tools, correct the other sentences. Once your corrections are completed, click “preview”
(In the comment field, you are encouraged to write any comments or suggestions about the content, and explain the grammatical corrections you have made.)
7. Check your corrections and if there are no mistakes, click post.
(If you need to modify your corrections, click “modify”.)
You have now completed the correction of an entry.
This is only one example.
Feel free to use the correction tools as you see fit.
However, please use the correction tools in a way that is easy for the recipient to understand your meaning.
