I Plan to Send a Gift to My Best Friend in China.

I bought a NBA T-shirt for my best friend in China and plan to send it this week. But I haven't decided which carrier I should use. If the United States postal service is as slow as the China postal service, I would prefer to ship my gift package with parcel carriers such as UPS and FedEx. They are much faster and often come with a better insurance of the package. However, I changed my mind after I checked the shipping rate of these parcel carriers. They are just too expensive, the price is more than two times the T-shirt value. I think it is stupid to spend twice as much as the cost of my gift T-shirt to send it to my friend. The postal service is much more cost efficient and I will probably send my gift with USPS.
