I asked my wife to take our car to the car dealer for the vehicle inspection of our nation.
At first the estimated cost was low before check the car.
It's only expense of the law related.
However many things has been stained, the cost will be twice as the first estimated, the dealer said.
My car is 10 years old even I know, I bought it as so-called used car.
I have to accept it.
I still have to pay the car insurance which protects over range of the public insurance.
I also have to accept it.

I asked my wife to take our car to the car dealer for the vehicle inspection of our nation required by the government.
At first the estimated cost was going to be low before they check checked the car.
It's only expense of the law related the basic inspection cost (?).
However many things has been stained are faulty, the cost will be twice as the first estimated , the dealer said.
I know my car is 10 years old even I know, I bought it as a so-called used car.
I still have to pay the car insurance which protects over range of in addition to the public insurance.
I feel your pain.Cars are good to have but they are a drain on your money.
I visited your country twice this year and I like your train system. If I was there all the time, I would never own a car.
But if you have a family you really need a car.
Mark
That's alright.
I really need a car.
I Just Have to Accept It << This sound a bit more natural.
I asked my wife to take our car to the car dealer to get it inspected, which is required by law. (The above correction, is good too. This is just how one would naturally say it.)
At first, the estimated cost was low. before check the car.
It's the only expense we have to pay for by law.of the law related.
However many things have changed. The dealer said, the cost will be twice as much now.
I know my car is 10 years old even I know, I bought it as used car.
I still have to pay the private car insurance in addition to public insurance.
I guess I'll just have to accept it.
Do you know the difference in another country?
To be honest, here in the States, everyone drives. Gas is cheaper, compared to other countries -- but we still like to complain about the price -- and everyone must get insurance. Although, it usually through a private company. Maintenance, is dependent on what state you live in. All-in-all, like everyone else, it's a pain-in the ass.
There are a lot of nature resources in USA.
Opposite,
Japan has less fuel resources.
Then fuel price is very expensive and half of the price is tax.
State is important in US, isn't it?
In Japan the price of products bit depends on what prefecture you live in.
Thank you for nice comment.
Let me ask you? Why do people own cars in Japan? I mean, the transportation system is really good, right? At least it seemed that way when I was there. Just curious?
Each State sets the Registration and 3rd party personal Insurance. I pay about $AU 660 (55000 Yen) a year.
Then there's 3rd party property Insurance, just so you are Ok if you hit a Porche (about $35 per month).
Petrol is $AU1.40 (115 Yen) per litre.
Then there's speeding and parking fines. I won't go there.
There are also quite a few countries that have cheaper fuel than the US including China and Russia (not by much though), but fuel in the US is cheaper than Australia. Japan is very expensive. $US1.90 a litre. Ouch.
One is old days story.
Our parents would like to want to be an American.
At least they ran after US and temporary exceed US.
Cars are symbol of US, at least they seemed to think.
The other is real problem.
Except the center of Japan like Tokyo or Osaka,
The railway system isn't popular.
Some railways has retired.
It isn't be convinience as if you are far from town.
Some people have 3 cars , isn't it?
Your country is also large.
Now we are anxious for yen-dollar exchange rate.
However if I buy some stuff in abroad, we have much advantage.
