In year 12, I achieved straight 20s (the highest possible mark) for English. HOWEVER, having not studied linguistics, I don't know a lot of the theory of the language. (Think of it as - I can drive, but I'm not a mechanic.) As for Japanese, I am for the most part self taught, and somewhat casually at that: my skills are elementary at best.
