I am not sure the nuance of "生き抜くに". My correction is ok I think, but I suspect you were maybe trying to sound a little playful with that? If so maybe we want to work on this last sentence some more. The way I have it has no nuance of joking at all.
「生き抜く」は日常的に使わない表現です。
「生き抜く」は通常は、戦時、貧困等で今日を生きるのも困難なときに使います。
でも、あえてこの言葉を選んで使ってみました。
日本語では時々このような形で、日常使わない大げさな言葉を選んで、文章に面白みを出す手法を使います(^-^)
