My American and Malaysian friend and I went to a buffet lunch in Tokyo.
They told me the difference of buffets between America and Japan, this was very interesting to me.
Japanese buffet restaurants have a time limit sush as 70 minutes or 90 minutes but the restaurants in America usually don't have it.
The plates size in America are three times as large as the plates in Japan.
According to them, Japanese people are very kind, restaurants and shop staffs provide very good services.
The Malaysian friend paid cashire, he came back to us with excitement.
He said, “Can you believe that? The cashire told me “Thank you very much” six times!
However a lot of Japanese customers don't say anything to the shop keepers.
My friends always said, “Thanks” in Japanese to the shop keepres.
However Japanese service industories sometimes are inflexible to the customers.
I don't understand why we can't change from a cup of coffee to a glass of orange juice for lunch.

Most buffets in the US are terrible!
The ones in Las Vegas are really good though.
Sometimes I stay there for 3 or 4 hours, lol.
We say, “Let's go to the Vaiking!”
When I went to the buffet for the first time, I was very impressed.
I drunk much orange juice , this was unforgettable memory.
Thank you for your corrections.

Buffets in Japan seem much cleaner than Australia. The food is changed more often. But then the only buffet I went to was Sweets Paradise.
Speaking of coffee, my friends told me the price of a cup of coffee is too expensive in Japan.
I agree with them.
Thank you for your correction.
I think coffee is around the same price in Australia but often better quality (or maybe made better).
I guess you cannot exchange things in Japan...
I think it is most of Asia is similar to this. I guess it may cause inconvenience.
In the US, people exchange everything it may be too much! For example, if you buy something from Wal-Mart, open it, use it, don't like it, you can return it! ^^
(This concerns most of the cases.)
When we order very cheap lunch set meal, we don't have any choice.
However when my son ordered the meal which was not cheap, the waiter didn't change it from a cup of coffee to a glass of orainge juice.
Our party was six people so we ordered many dishes.
The restaurant was not crowded.
Only one glass of orange juice for a kid, right?
I was so upset.
The restaurant lost 6 customers then.
