My Attempts at Translating a Children't Book - Page 1 (オズのまほうつかい）

So, a friend of mine picked me up some children books that are in Japanese. I'm having some difficulties with it. I figure that I would use my journal to get feedback on my translations.
Part of my problems is that the book is mostly in kana so I'm having difficulties figuring out what the word is.
I figure the first line will be the Japanese, the 2nd line the word translation and 3rd line the sentence changed to English.
The book is The Wizard of OZ.
くろい たつまきが、草原を すごい いきおいで ちかづいてきます。
Dark tornado meadow terrible force near.
Dark tornado of terrible force is near the meadow.
「早く ちかしつに にげるのよ！」
"Quick cellar in escape!"
"Quick, escape into the cellar"
エムおばさんと ヘンリーじさんが よんでいます。
Aunt Em and Uncle Henri (Don't know this word)
でも ドロシーは 犬の トトを さがしていて、 にげおくれてしまったのです。
But Dorothy dog Toto search for, failed to escape.
But Dorothy was searching for her dog Toto and failed to escape.
That is page 1 and I will attempt page 2 later.
