Only harking back to what you have listened to can make you 把握 it. {8-O

When I say 把握 in my daily conversations, I find myself pronouncing it "ハーク" in a low tone, not "ハアク" articulated.
Thanks to you, I learned the new word "hark".

Actually, the word "hark" can be applied more directly. "To hark" means "to listen closely." So, you can "hark" during the class, not only "hark back" to what you have heard in the class. :)

By the way, I think this is not a common word today. Many English native speakers probably know this word from the old Christmas hymn (religious song), "Hark, the herald angels sing" (「傾聴せよ、前触れの天使は歌う」).
