A few days ago,
My five year-old-nephew asked me,
"Can you converse fluently with foreigners?"
Gee...just a moment, please. my lovely nephew...
How can I answer your question...?
So I told him,
“Sure I can!”
“Really!? You're wonderful!”
He was cutting up after that for a while.
Sorry, Your uncle just told you a little lie.
cough...cough...
I want to be the uncle that my nephew admires...! (- -;
Wait for a moment, Please...
(Expression in English is really hard to me yet...hu ; ;)

You can say, "I want to be the uncle that my nephew admires!"
You are so cute! So is your nephew. :)
Also, instead of 'speaking well with foreigners' ==> this is not natural English. A better way to say it is,
"Can you converse well/fluently with foreigners?"
Thank you so much, 名無しsan! ^ ^
I could use “admires”.
I see.
Your advice is very helpful.
勉強になりました。^ ^
ちなみに、「勉強になりました」に近い表現ってあるんですか?
調べてもこの言葉のニュアンスに近い言葉がみつかりませんでした…。; ;
“Yes, sure!” "Sure I can!"
Sorry, Your uncle just said told you a little lie.

その間にがんばって「嘘を真に」します。^ ^

そうですね。英語では多分、
"I learnt something new today!" :)
ありがとう。名無しさん。^ ^
I learnt something new today again! :)
