Toshiaki : What do you think? (15)

Today I would like to explain about one of Japanese culture. Used to be when you talk to someone if you look at someone’s face straight that is regarded as disrespectful manners in Japan. However, recently it has been changed. Now it is considered rude that if you don’t look at the person’s eyes. Recently, eye contact is important in Japan like American do. This may be depending on age of Japanese. What do you think?

Please watch this video. He developed a method by which examining of anemia by using light rather than by checking blood directly. This is his explanation, “we essentially pass light right through the tissue, and from understanding how much of it is transmitted, how much of it is scattered and how much of it is absorbed, we can figure out how much hemoglobin is there in the blood”.　I have no idea about how it works this device but I do know that this is wonderful method because it is very cheap than the expensive medical equipment.
Video link
http://youtu.be/zJTkGHmGnjw

The other day, I watched a romantic fantasy film called Phenomenon. This is the second time viewing since I've seen this long time ago. This time I try to concentrate on listening English rather than reading Japanese subtitles so often. George is main character who lives in a small town, fall in love with a single mother Reis who has newly moved into this town and start to sell her handmade chairs. George is buying a lot of chairs in secretly so that his house is full of chairs. One day, he saw a dazzling light, like a UFO, and following the next day he become a genius. He can remember the Portuguese in only 20 minutes to search for the missing children his family can't speaks English. I think this episode is a dream all Lang-8 members, right? This movie has a suspense aspect too. Because he predicts earthquakes and deciphering military cord, government start investigates him. However, basically this is a nice love story with Reis and George. I should stop writing around here because I don't want to deprive of the happiness of those who have not yet seen this movie. I personally really found of the ending of this movie. I would like to recommend you to watch this film, if you have a chance.=^-^=

He was recovered perfectly.=^-^=

Look at this picture. I think you couldn’t understand his handwriting before the treatment but after one is easy to read it, right? Unfortunately, I’ve already forgotten about how to write and read cursive script so I can’t read it.Lol. Could anyone kindly tell me what he wrote after “ This is my ~ ~~~~ ” . Anyway, I think this medical treatment for censer is wonderful because this one only using ultrasonic waves. There is similar treatment it called gamma knife by witch focusing on radiation to tumor and burn it away. I don’t have any medical Knowledge but I read somewhere gamma knife only can allay to a brain. If you see the video this one can apply to a huge tumor anywhere of your body. Since this one don’t use radiation it should be safe and cheep. This is still new treatment so they are in the middle of collecting data. I wish the U.S. government will approved quickly and every one would get this treatment at any hospital all over the word.^^

TED Video link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=x4lA-M3zbdU

Please watch this video. I still vividly remember the surprise of the first time hearing of the news of the cheapest car of the world. Sure, it is much less safety compared with the Japanese car, however it is far better than the scooter.　 The achievement of developing of unbelievably low price new vehicle is driven by the sharing the vision in which try to change India into wonderful country, not only the engineers and workers but also manager and executive too. Currently, India is in the middle of rapid growth period like a 50 years ago Japan, population of young people is high, everyone have full of hope and enthusiasm.
video link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=z_XchYY3bnU

He is currently associate professor of MIT. If you listen to his English, you can easy to guess he come from India. I am often impressed that America always attracts talented and brightest people from all over the world. I cannot describe his research perfectly in my English writing. Please watch the video first! How about it? It is amazing, isn’t it? He is actually taking a picture of the beam of light by the speed of light. By shooting each of photons of the reflection of light and by analyzing the data and rebuilt it in 3D model, now you can observe the inside of the room over the door. In the near future, this may be used in practically at the sense of the rescue disaster.
Vedeo link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Y_9vd4HWlVA

Video link http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=JWToUATLGzs
This is the continuation of the previous post. Please read the the previous post first.^^ The first time I saw this video I got the impresion that the trick is movement of the bottom. However, the bottom movement is also happened by the movment of pendulums. The point of this experiment is that things influence earch other. Even if you do the same experiment done on the top of a solid desk still smoll vibration happen on the the surface of the desk and it will follow the same synchronization but it just takes long time or ended up the movment of pendulums are stoped before the synchronization would happen. I hope my English making sense. This phenomenon discovered by Huygens in the 17th century of the Holland.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christiaan_Huygens

For Japanese some English grammars are very difficult to understand it. For example, should I choose –ing form or -ed form of the words.　Every time I try to write English or solve the questions of text books. I’m always confused. After Japanese learned Chinese character from ancient china it has already passed 1000 years. Now it is diffident from Japanese version of Kanji to Chinese version of Kanji. However some of them are still has slimier meaning. So I try to read it. However I have no idea at all! Although I didn’t learn Chinese but I believe there are a lot of native Chinese in lang-8.
Toshiaki : Nara Deer Park=^-^=(with Japanese voice recording) (6)

Today, I would like to introduce to you one of the most famous tourist spot of Japan. Nara is located west side of Japan. Everyone knows that Tokyo is the capital of Japan but approximately 1000 years ago Nara was the capital of Japan ( I don’t remember exactly). There are some old wooden constructions still existing. However, I have no interested in old construction but Nara has another famous tourist spot which is Nara Deer Park. If you click the link from the Your Tube video, you can understand what it is. Originally, it is a site of the Buddhism temple and deer considered as a sacred animal in that denomination but recently rather than the religious temple more like a famous tourist spot with the huge sanctuary for deer in the center of the city. I think there are over 10 thousand deer living there. In the night time, they were sleeping at the small mountain next to the park, in the morning they come down to park every day. Their job is entertaining tourists. Well, actually, they are just begging foods but for human eyes, they are so cute. However, sometime huge male deer stick your hips for begging food. So it is better to find female or small deer. There is a strict rule that you are not allow to feed your own foods, like a sweet chocolate or potato chips, these food contain too much snugger or salt or fat. These human foods are not good for their health. At the entrance of the park or inside of the park, they are selling official rice crackers for feeding the deer. It called SIKASENBAI. You can feed it to deer. Actually, you can eat it if you like, but it is tasteless for human.　According to my grand-grandmother, I ate them when I was little kid but I don’t remember at all. Lol. Another important point is that you have to wear sneakers because you have to walk 15 minute from the station and continue to walking through the inside of the park. If you have a chance to visit Japan not only visit Tokyo but also visit Nara too. You can enjoy Osaka and Kyoto and Nara during one or two day.=^-^=

This is you tube post.=^-^=
https://www.youtube.com/results?hl=ja&gs_rn=1&gs_ri=hp&tok=eJJFFfXn1fXWfa-Aj3PQeA&cp=9&gs_id=jm&xhr=t&q=nara+deer&biw=1152&bih=647&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.41524429,d.dGI&wrapid=tljp1359347146516025&um=1&ie=UTF-8&gl=JP&sa=N&tab=w1

This is oficial HP of Nara written in English.
http://www.pref.nara.jp/dd_aspx_itemid-79931.htm#itemid79931

I used to be making some Japanese learning videos for the people who studying Japanese. Some of friends are already known that I am a big fun of beautiful sayings. I made my Japanese lesson by using famous English sayings. When I was making the video I didn’t know that how bad my English pronunciation is. Now, I am feeling embarrassment about my English pronunciation, so I would never to do that again. Actually, recently I erased the video link from my profile. However, since I’ve already spend huge amount of time to made them and posted the You Tube. I will post the video link again, if you like, please use them for your Japanese study. However, please ignore my bad English pronunciation, I know I have huge problem about The difference of “l” or “r” that is most difficult point for Japanese. =^-^=

Firstly, I pronounce English famous saying in English.
Secondly, I pronounce Japanese part twice as slowly as possible.
If you click the description under the vide, you can see the English and Japanese script on every post.=^-^=
I picked up these saying from the internet. I completely trusted these English are perfect. I personally believe in that if the context is wonderful we should not too much worry about the grammar. However, since I am in the process of learning English. It is very important to knowing the correct grammar. So, I would really appreciate it if you tell me which saying is wrong in grammatically.

Some of new my lang-8 friends don’t know that I used to post Videos.
I am really embarrassing about my English pronunciation but my Japanese is perfect, please use them for your study. If you have any question you can ask me here in lang-8 . If you post your question on You Tube. I might be don’t noticed it.
http://www.youtube.com/user/00002797

That year, a young fox saw the snow the first time. Although he was surprised the coldness of the snow first time, couple few hours he really enjoyed playing in the snow. However, he cried suddenly because he had got chilblains in his forehand. It really hurt. The mother fox felt sorry about his son so they want to the town to buy mittens. They reached the place where they can saw the light of the town. The mother fox couldn’t move it where because bad experience of memory about human flash back to her mind. There is no way but send her son to the town by alone. In the past, this mother fox when she was young who tried to steal chicken from human house, failed and caught, human could killed fox but they felt pity to fox, so released her after bitten her as a lesson that she never try to that same thing again. The mother fox changed her son’s one hand into human hand with her magic power and let held son’s hand hold of human real money. Fox has some kind of magic power by which can change their shape turn into human but her power is limited so that she only can change her son’s one paw. The mother fox said to her son.
“The first, you have to knock the door and say, “Good Evening” and after human opened the door a little bit, you have to put in your human hand, and you have to say, “Please give me a mitten glove which fit my hand”, make sure yourself, never ever showing your fox hand! The human being is cruel creature. When they find fox they would beat fox till die.”
The little fox really scared but he tried to encourage himself and arrived at the general store of the town. He knock the door and owner of general store opened the door a little bit. The little fox was surprised by the light overflowing from the gap slightly opened the door and accidentally put his real fox hand into the gap of door.
“Please give me a mitten glove which fit my hand”
Although the owner of the general shop was really surprised seeing the hand of fox, after he checked the money is real not a leaf, he gave it most small mitten glove to the fox hand. The little fox put them on his hands. It was very warm and soft. On the way back to the home, he heard the voice that human mother sang a nursing song to her child. A human child asked a question to his mother. "Tonight is so cold, I am worry about the a little fox. Is he going to die by freezing?” and the mother answered to her child “Please don’t worry about it. A little fox sleeping with his mother’s warm arm inside a cave. The little fox suddenly felt loneliness to her mother after heard of human’s conversation. He was rushing back to his mother as fast as he could. His mother was waiting his son nearly dying with fear. The mother fox held his son tightly. The little fox explain to his mother what happen to him. Although he failed to showing human hand and showing fox hand, the owner of general shop kindly sold to him a mitten glove. Mother Fox was really suspired. This video is an advertisement of the note PC of DELL. I think this is pretty good, considering about for just a commercial. I have no idea how to edit video and combining two images into one. However, after I watched this commercial I felt everyone can do that easily. I want to buy editing software and latest PC. Well, that is the purpose of commercial it should stimulate purchasing mind of us. However, almost all the time, they fail to fulfill that perhaps and ended up making lots of annoying videos and causing the opposite effect. But this one is done very well, I think. =^-^=

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjJ-F8SoGQo&feature=player_detailpage
I only know him in documentary videos but my parents told me they saw him walking on the moon through TV at real time and they were so surprised. I don’t remember exactly where I read. Every time someone praised his magnificent achievement he always answers like this” I was just holding a control stick. That’s it!”. ( I would appreciate it if you tell me what he said exactly. ) What he really meant is. The achievement of the moon landing should be shared with all personnel of NASA and the American nation and all over the word of people. Considering about only extremely competent people can become astronaut, they could become arrogant but he has really modest personality! I really respect him from my bottom of heart.

Toshiaki : In 2036 on April 13 (with Japanese recording) (5)

When I was a child during watching a television show in which they told me the reason of extinction of dinosaurs is a huge meteorite. I still remember that I thought “What would happen if a huge meteorite would hit the earth again?” and at the same time I thought, “In real, that probability would be very low”. However, that is wrong! Lol.
In 2036 on April 13, it was named Apophis which 250 diameter meteorite is going to pass near the earth where closer to the Orbit of satellites. According to the calculations of some scientists, since not yet knowing of the precise course of its meteorite, the course would changed duo to the influence of the earth's gravity and there is a possibility of the collision in 1/100 million, if that happens, may be humanity would extinct like dinosaurs. However, even if turn out to be a collision course is real one, there is still we can modify the course of it by crashing some missiles like movies. In real, according to this video, we don’t have to hit the missiles, we just launch the satellite to near the meteorite and its gravity can change the course of meteorite little by little by influencing the satellite gravity. It is the same principle of the moon gravity is causing the tide of earth. You know, the space industry is originally developed for military purposes, but now we can use it in really good purpose.

P.S.
Oh, there are a lot good way of using the satellites, like a weather forecast or a car and ship, airplane's GPS,etc.
=^-^=

Video link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=rjECbQ1r-k0

Wow! =^-^=
His study is really wonderful isn’t it? If you make the pure water from the seawater, you have to remove the salt by using the reverse osmosis system. His research is retrieving metals from its drain by using the bacteria. If you talking about mining. It always comes with the pollution which was generated in the process of refining the metal and causing the disease. However, in his way of retrieving metals is not only easy but also very clean. It looks like a magic!　And more than that, you will earn money by selling the metal which reduces the installation cost, so that a lot of country can introduce desalination plant. If you are still children, may be a good idea to becoming a wonderful researcher like him.=^-^=
Video link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=9Q2hew8759w
I often try to learn English from various sayings and beautiful phrases. One of them tries to motivate you and the other ones tries to comfort you. When I was kid I thought that nothing is impossible if you try hard. However, once you grown up, you will realized that all drams you had when you were kid never came true. Sometimes, we have to accept the realities and moving on. Now, it is important for me to gathering a small happiness、for example like a learning a foreign language as a hobby by joining lang-8 and correcting someone’s posts each other. However, if you are still kids you don’t have to necessary to giving up your dream because you have a lot of time to chase your dream of which to become a professional musician or an athlete, or to become an anchorperson on TV, etc. So, it is natural that responding is different even if you read same saying. It depends on your ages or personally, or situations at your daily life, like where or not you still single or already marriage and raising your kids, and so on.

Well,,,
My English is not yet enough developed expressing my track of thought perfectly. Lol
I wish that my English making a sense. =^-^=

Please watch this video. I knew that Google try to digitalizing books of the entire world books by using OCR but I was so suspired that we are also joining that project without knowing. OCR is a useful but far from the perfection and he is genius to come up the idea that is by integrating the personal identification system that we read some part which impossible to read by computer. This is real one stone kills two birds! It is a little bit cheating by doing that without our consent however the world of internet is basically helping each other without paying many so that it is OK, I think. More than that, I was moved with that the tiresome personal identification system has some kid of meaning to worth doing it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ht4qiDRZE8&feature=player_detailpage

Recently, a lot of people saying that ”we have to change the way of producing energy from atomic energy and fossil fuel to a natural energy”. However, in reality, there are so many difficulties existing that we have to overcome. The biggest one is the cost! If we generate all energy which we need it to keep our modern life by the current natural energy technology in which ended up our electricity bill will jump up to 10 times, we couldn’t afford that. However, at this moment, there are so many researchers are undertaking on various research all over the world. So in the near future, may they would develop the power generation technology which not only safe and less emission of CO2 but also the same low cast as current ones. Here, this video is one of great reaches. This professor who he not only can explain very well difficult thing to understand everybody but also he is so funny. In Japan, the image of the university professor is grumpy but in USA, even if the university professor is expected to being an entertainer. =^-^=

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sddb0Khx0yA&feature=player_detailpage
