Please read NHK news first.=^-^=
The future is now! I’ve seen this type of car navigation system lots of times but in the movies not in the real life. I’m really excited about it! However, if you ask me that I’m going to buy this new car navigation system that is another question. Because it cost 500 dollars more than the previous one is ridiculous, right? The first, within few years, lots of car navigation system connects with internet via your smart phone. It means, you don’t have to pay the cost for map information itself. So, the price should be decrees not increase. The second, laser projection image system is cheaper than the liquid crystal, once they start mass production. So I should wait at least 3 years from buying new car navigation system. If I win lottery, I would buy new car itself, of course.=^-^=

Japanese electronics maker Pioneer has developed a car navigation system that apparently displays information in the driver's field of vision. The next-generation system uses laser beams to display data on a clear plastic plate. It's exactly in front of the driver's eyes. The plastic plate is situated below the sun visor. This way, drivers do not need to take their eyes off the road to check the screen.
To avoid distracting the driver, the system shows only a minimum amount of data, such as direction, and it's printed in pretty large fonts.
Pioneer says its invention is the world's first head-up display car navigation system using laser technology. The firm plans to launch the system in July. It's expected to cost about 500 dollars more than standard models.
I would really appreciate it if you could correct my writing!

I’ve seen this type of car navigation system lots of times but in the movies, not in the real life.

Because it cost 500 dollars more than the previous one. Ridiculous, right?
First of all, within a few years, lots of car navigation systems will connect to the internet via your smartphone.
So, the price should decrease not increase.
Secondly, laser projection image systems will be cheaper than liquid crystal displays, once they start mass production.
So I should wait at least 3 years until buying a new car navigation system.
If I win the lottery, I would buy a new car itself, of course.=^-^=
I just use this thing made out of dead trees covered in ink.
Lots of these flat bits of dead trees are put together and the ink forms pictures of roads and stuff! I can use it to see where to go!
Haha just kidding. I think people are maybe getting a bit useless though without their SatNav and phones. It's not hard to look up a route before you go and use the road signs!
"made out of dead trees covered in ink."
haha,It is Super natural navigation system!
And it's always nice to have a co-pilot to check the map and give you directions. I'm just old-school that way. I wish I could afford to go on a road-trip this summer! >.<
Hi,Krista=^-^=
Your son can do co-pilot!
He can not drive a car not yet but he can be your co-pilot!
Interesting news. Thanks for the link! it's useful for my Japanese study!
