I read an English book, “The Audacity of Hope” written by Barack Obama. I tried to read it as quickly as I can. Even though I was reading it at my maximum speed, it took me about 10 hours to finish it.

The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream (Amazon)
http://www.amazon.co.jp/Audacity-Hope-Thoughts-Reclaiming-American/dp/0307237702/

This book contains 384 pages, so I think there are a lot of interesting ideas and thoughts. However, I was able to understand only one percent of the book.

I looked at all the words in the book. In order to read it in my top gear, before my brain processed the meaning of a sentence, I needed to move to the next sentence. That’s why I couldn’t understand most of the content.

I realized again that my reading skills were poor. My eyes were just open for 10 hours to no purpose. I think I should read it more slowly next time, and then I can see the amazing thoughts of the president-elect of the US.
