I study an English grammer to use " English Gramar in Use " .I have practiced "Reported speech" now.
(direct) Steve said Rachel and Mark are getting married next month.
(reported speach) Steve said Rachel and Mark were getting married next month.
They are married next month, that is future action. In Japanese, we say "Steve said Rachel and Mark are married next month" (スティブはラチェルとマークが来月結婚すると言った。)but in English, that action is descrived past tence. I wonder that is following" mach the tence?" (時制の一致)

I wonder that is following" match the tense?" (時制の一致)
Hmm, I actually think the direct version sounds better.
