I didn't understand "Causative verb" for ages. Every I'm thinking about that again and again, more and more I'm confused. Yesterday I learned "causative verb" an English cram school however I haven't been clearly yet. Although I'm earger to lear much more, my some English grammar books don't have questions too much, even though "English Grammar in use". I thought that is not so important issue but I want to practice more. Another difficulr grammar rules for me, for example, present perfect, past perfect tense,(sometimes I though why it was not past tense in the case.) subjunctive, etc. There are many questions in my books.
I want to someone let me know about causative question. If you know.

Yesterday I learned about "causative verbs" in English cram school; however, I am not clear on them yet.
Although I'm eager to learn much more, my some English grammar books don't have many examples too much, even though the title is "English Grammar in Use".
I thought that is not such an important issue, but I want to practice more.
There are other difficult grammar rules for me, for example: present perfect, past perfect tense (in some cases I wonder why it was not written in the simple past tense), subjunctive, etc.
If anyone knows, I would appreciate it some help with the causative question.
If you know.
There are a few verbs that can act in a causative manner in English, mainly [to have], [to get], [to make], and [to let] (note that these verbs can also be used for other, non-causative situations). Here, I will only consider their causative usages. From what I can tell (hopefully my Japanese is close enough):
[to have]; [to get] = 「~てもらう」
[to make]; [to let] = 「~せる」
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
例えば:
「彼に壁を塗ってもらいました。」
I had him paint the wall for me.
I got him to paint the wall for me.
「彼に壁を塗らせました。」
I made him paint the wall.
I let him paint the wall.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The difference between [made] and [let] in the final two English sentences is this:
If you use [made], then he did not want to paint the wall.
If you use [let], then he wanted to paint the wall, and you gave him permission.
In the first two English sentences, [had] and [got] have identical meanings. But, you need to be careful what form you put the following verb in:
With [have/had], the verb that follows will be simple present tense.
With [get/got/gotten], the verb that follows will be in the infinitive form (to + verb).
