"He speaks of leaving school" = "He speaks about leaving school." = "He talks about leaving school"
"How did you learn of our product?" = "How did you learn about our product?"= "How did you find out about our product" = "How did you learn out product exists?"
"What do you think of that movie?"= "What do you think about that movie?"
if you remove 'of' from the sentences they don't make sense. Much like if you removed "대한/대해 " from a Korean sentence
