Nov 27, 2017 08:23 book fact feeling(s)
I finished the translated book of “A Pale View of Hills” during the weekend. A heroine of this book is a Japanese woman who lived before and after the World War II in Nagasaki, Japan.

I was amazed not only by the author but also by the translator (Takeshi Onodera) of this book. The Japanese expressions in this book was very natural so I almost forgot it was originally written by a non-Japanese native speaker.

The impressions after reading this book was that I wanted to know more about the details which were not written in this book. Also, how paradigm shift can be seen after the war.
