Nuts of Maidenhair Trees #1838

Yesterday, October 8th was a national holiday called "physical education day" in Japan.

It was relatively hotter than a usual autumn day, but some leaves of maidenhair trees had already turned into yellow.

I found some ginkgo nuts that had dropped under the tree. So I picked them up and removed the flesh of them, washing with water. After that I roasted them and removed the shells of seeds.

They were slightly sweet and some tasted a bit bitter.

Have you ever had ginkgo nuts? If you eat a lot, it could cause poisoning symptoms. So, please be careful not to eat too many at once. ^^

普通の秋の日にしては暑かったのですが、イチョウの木の葉はもう黄色になっているものもありました。

木の下に銀杏が落ちているのを見つけて、拾って果肉を水で洗い流し、その後、焼いて殻を取り除きました。

ほんのり甘くて、少し苦味のあるのもありました。

皆さんは、銀杏を食べたことがありますか?たくさん食べると中毒症状を引き起こすこともあるので、一度にたくさん食べないように気をつけてくださいね。
