Meditation.

Often when I'm stressed out I find myself meditating. It's my way of focusing my thoughts and finding peace within myself. Usually I begin by blocking out the world around me and closing my eyes and focusing on an image in my mind of singular drops of water dropping into a large body of water. Each drop, dropping slowly with every slow breath out. Continuing this, until I have complete control over my breathing and heart rate. This practice has allowed me to regain control over myself when times where difficult and chaotic.

Lately though, certain memories and thoughts have been affecting my well-being and I find myself unable to maintain this peaceful state of mind. It seems like the emotions and thoughts that I have suppressed for so many years now, have finally caught up to me.........I won't give up though and I'll try harder to find peace.
