Hello, 2 quick questions, you don't have to answer both.
夏休みももう終わりだ。
Summer vacation is already over.
The first も does it have any meaning? I understand the もう meaning already. I'm guessing the first も is just a conversational or polite way of speaking that does not really have meaning?
Second question is
この世界を良くしていく力になりたいです。
I want to make the world a better place.
I understand all of the sentence except for the く.
Is the く a conjugation of していく that I don't know? or is it して+いく? I don't know. :/

夏休みももう終わりだ。
あまり考えたことがなかったのですが、よく使いますね。
私の考えでは、その文脈でははっきりと示されていない出来事（例：夏の行事）があることを想定して、（それらに加えて）夏休みも、ということかなと思います。
しかしながら、あまり自信がありません。 いま国語辞典を見ましたが、たくさんの意味がありすぎて、特定できませんでした。 ほかの日本人の方のコメントもご参考にしてください！

形容詞を動詞にかえるための「く」だと思います。
そのほかの例としては、
「よい」＋「なる」「する」→「よくする」「よくなる」
「悪い」＋「なる」「する」→「悪くする」「悪くなる」
テイラーさん＋かっこいい → （誰かが）テイラーさんを（さらに）かっこよくする:D

As you know 「は」「が」「も」are particles which suggest subject words in the sentence when they add subject word. When we use 「夏休みももう終わりだ。」, we omit 'Summer' ⇒「(夏も)夏休みももう終わりだ。」Both of summer and summer vacation is almost over. Does it make sence?
Summer vacation is already over.
I guess 「summer vacation is already over ⇒ 夏休みはもう終わった。」is proper Japanese sentence.

The first も has a little same meaning "too".
ex.) Me too〜！＝私も〜！
も is conjunction with the other containing the same meaning.
So,夏ももう終わりかぁ… has meaning that this summer is already over as winter and spring has passed.
（冬や春が終わっていったのと同じように…）夏も、もう終わりかぁ…。
そこまで意識をして使っていませんが（）の意味が含まれいるのですよ。
「夏は」より「夏も」と使った方が、後に続く文章に気持ちが込められている様に伝わる気がします。
「もう」と一緒に使われている時は、後の文章により気持ちが込められて見えます。
ex.)娘も、もう中学生かぁ…（もうそんなに大きくなったのねぇ…と、より気持ちが増して聞こえます）

「も」については、並列ではなく「AもB」の形で、
・Aをさりげなくとりたてて、 Aに含まれる（あるいはAの性質を持つ）Bの位置づけを
示す・・・ という表現方法だと思います。
（長い夏休みがあるが、その休みももう終わりだ。）inみたいなものかな。
・「天才もモーツァルトとなるとケタ違いだ」
（天才とはすごいものだが、その天才の
ひとりであるモーツァルトとなると
そのすごさはケタ違いである）
訂正（長い夏休みがあるが、その休みがもう終わりだ。）
