I start reading the book in a train, titled “Inside Wikileaks” translated into Japanese. That book is written by the former No.2 Wikileaks member in German. Having finished reading, I had an interest in reading it in English. I skimmed through it and found it’s not so difficult. I’ve decided to buy one.

I am reading the two books with comparing meaning sentence by sentence. I learned a good lesson how to express the sentences. The difference between English and Japanese are very different but very curious. I want to translate sentences accurately from the bottom of my heart. By the way, “accurately” here means not only the grammar point of view also meaning, or, content.

I am planning to read a book written by the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. That’s because I want to know the opinion from his side and his growing environment.

After I read your story about the fake rotenburo, I found a person on TV who had a similar experience like you.

She is a famous Japanese singer and loves onsens. She often goes to onsens here and there, hot ones or cold ones (a cold one is called a "reisen".) One day, she found a good place to stay with a rotenburo. She told that it wasn't surprised to feel cold at first, bathing in the water long time made your body hot later.

When she put the foot in the cold one, something red in the water quickly crossed in front of her. Ohhh, she realized that it's just a pond for carps not a cold onsen. The real rotenburo was next to the fake one.

As soon as hearing that story the MC and guests on the TV studio burst into laughter. Of course, it's a funny one for me. But in her case, she is Japanese, she has many experiences bathing onsens and it was daylight.

As a conclusion, it's natural you made a mistake. (hahaha)

Long time ago, I went to Fukuoka city to see a friend of mine in summer. She and I did sightseeing for one week. We went to Nagasaki city, Unzen-dake, Iki-island Fukuoka city and so on. I enjoyed atmosphere around there. I liked there and thought it’s good for living after my retirement. Before I got back home, I dropped in at a big shopping mall alone.

It’s very famous for Mentaiko (hot raw cod roes) in Fukuoka prefecture so I wanted to buy one for me. A sales woman asked me at a Mentaiko corner “Why don’t you buy this one?” She almost put it into a plastic bag. It was too expensive for me. I wanted to see around another maker’s Mentaiko. I told her “just looking” and was away from her. She still recommended it several times.

There were a lot of similar kinds of Mentaiko at the corner. I couldn’t decide so soon which one I would buy. When I looked around after circling the corner, she was just behind me having that plastic bag inside it. I took my breath but she smiled. She must have seen and followed me.

I didn’t buy anything there because it was my small resistance. I ended up buying Mentaiko near the Airport. The price was almost the same as that shopping mall's.

After I came back home, I told the friend on the phone about that happening. She said that shopping mall is notorious for coercive sales. She couldn’t stop laughing during the talking. She must have imagined the woman’s chasing and my reaction.

The pushy sales was the most impressive sightseeing in Fukuoka city. I’ve never seen such a strong-arm approach in Kanto area in my life time.

炊飯器持参で、他人の家へ　電気止められた男を逮捕　「腹減ったからやった」と供述

7月30日12時10分配信 毎日新聞

長崎県警早岐署は２９日、同県佐世保市江上町、無職、坂中秋吉容疑者（４９）を住居侵入未遂容疑で現行犯逮捕した。容疑者宅は電気が止められており、自分の炊飯器を持ち込んで他人の家の電気で勝手に米を炊こうとしていた。

　調べでは、坂中容疑者は同日午後３時ごろ、電気炊飯器を持参し、同市江上町の女性（７７）方の１階窓から上半身のみを屋内に侵入させた疑い。「腹が減っていたのでやった」と、容疑を認めているという。

　炊飯器の電気コードを持って、屋外から窓の近くのコンセントにプラグを差し込む容疑者を女性が見つけて１１０番。署員が駆けつけると、容疑者は窓の下に炊飯器を置き、路上で横になって米が炊けるのを待っていた。

　炊飯器には米４合と水が入っていたが、容疑者が炊飯と保温のスイッチを押し間違えたため、米は炊けていなかった。同署は電気を盗んだ窃盗容疑でも調べる。【近松仁太郎】

When you browse a book in a book shop or convinience store and find an intersting article or photo on a book, you might want to keep it. But you don't want to buy the book. If you take a photo by your digital gadzet, like a cell phone, you keep it. It's called "digital shoplifting(= デジタル万引き(でじたるまんびき)." in that quize show.

It is not a criminal offense because the present laws haven't assumed such kind of theft in Japan. An IT related laws are made slower than the rapid progress of IT.

The TV MC said "Don't do that" in that show. You may be caught on civil wrong.
