長崎県警早岐署は２９日、同県佐世保市江上町、無職、坂中秋吉容疑者（４９）を住居侵入未遂容疑で現行犯逮捕した。容疑者宅は電気が止められており、自分の炊飯器を持ち込んで他人の家の電気で勝手に米を炊こうとしていた。
調べでは、坂中容疑者は同日午後３時ごろ、電気炊飯器を持参し、同市江上町の女性（７７）方の１階窓から上半身のみを屋内に侵入させた疑い。「腹が減っていたのでやった」と、容疑を認めているという。
炊飯器の電気コードを持って、屋外から窓の近くのコンセントにプラグを差し込む容疑者を女性が見つけて１１０番。署員が駆けつけると、容疑者は窓の下に炊飯器を置き、路上で横になって米が炊けるのを待っていた。
炊飯器には米４合と水が入っていたが、容疑者が炊飯と保温のスイッチを押し間違えたため、米は炊けていなかった。同署は電気を盗んだ窃盗容疑でも調べる。【近松仁太郎】

A suspect is Akiyoshi Sakanaka (49), jobless, lived in Sasebo Nagasaki. He was arrested on 29th on a charge of attempt of home-invasion dead to right. His house’s electricity stopped because he didn’t pay that fee so he couldn’t use a rice cooker. He tried to use other house’s electricity without asking.
According to the police investigation, he brought his rice cooker around 3:00 PM and put in his upper part only from a window in a woman’s house. He admitted his crime saying “I was hungry”.
She saw him plugging the cord into a socket from the window and called the police. He put the rice cooker under the window outside. When the police came, he was lying on the road nearest her house outside waiting for the rice done.
By the way, the suspect had about 4 cup rice and enough water in the rice cooker, but the rice wasn’t done since he mistakenly push the button “keep warm” instead of “make.” The police will check him for electricity thief too.

The suspect, Akiyoshi Sakanaka (49) - an unemployed resident of Sasebo, Nagasaki - was arrested on July 29th on a charges of attempted breaking and entering. Because his electric service had been discontinued due to non-payment of his electrical bills, the suspect brought his rice cooker to another person's house in order to use the electricity and cook rice.
