Hi, my name is Seth. I come from the great state of Texas in America. I started learning Japanese way when I was in 8th grade. So, I've had a lot of time early in my life to get far in Japanese. For most Japanese people that speak to me, they say that I'm basically fluent but I just don't quite sound like them. Well, that's why I decided to join Lang-8.

This year is almost over, but next year I plan to really read a lot more Japanese than I have been. I hope to also restart my Classical Japanese studies. I also like studying dialects, so if you speak ANY dialect, please feel free to tell me a lot of information about it. I don't care if you do it in Japanese because I'll understand you.


The most important thing about me, though, is that I actually created my own Japanese teaching website for English speakers called www.imabi.net

I have been working on it for about 3 years, but it is still far from completion. It is already extensive, and it is from here where the sentences from my entries are coming from. But, I still need a lot of Japanese help.

My site is free to join, and I have heard from other users here that it actually helps Japanese learn English. If my site were more accurate, it could really help a lot of people. From all the hard work that people have already put into correcting my entries around 55% of the site has been proofread. That still leaves a lot to be done.

I attend the University of Texas at Austin, so I can't devote all the time I want towards my Japanese ambitions, but I have much more now than I did in high school.

I hope to make friends with all the Japanese people here that I possibly can. Please check out my site and be sure to send in corrections and your comments to me. The more people that get involved, the more everyone gets to learn. Can't wait to hear from all of you!
