This afternoon, 6 guests came to my company.
They are from a German company.
One of my co-workers told me that the four of them came from Denmark.
Two of them were Japanese.

When our guests come to my department, another co-worker and I take turns to serve green tea each day.
Today was my turn to do it for the guests.

I prepared 8 cups of tea, went to a meeting room and served them.
While serving, I was paying close attention what they were talking about.
However, I had to concentrate to serve the tea without spilling a drop, I was not able to hear it well.
That’s not a good excuse.

After they left the meeting room, I entered there to clear the table.
Then I smelled the fragrance which might be deodorants or something.

“My ears become like Dumbo.” It means that you are curious about someone’s talk and pay close attention what they were talking about.
Dumbo is a main character in the Disney movie, “Dumbo.”
Maybe this expression is a dead language, but we sometimes use it.
