Hiking to Sun Moon Lake (1)

It was not so far from Taizhong to Sun Moon Lake, but took approximately two hours by bus.
It took long time because the bus went through the downtown for passenger.
When I arrived there, it was past noon.

The aunty who spoke broken Japanese tempted me a restaurant.
It was a restaurant of fish dishes.
She recommended me the dish called President fish.
I ordered it, and she carried a dish simmered in pan then put on it fire.
I was hungry, and it was delicious.

I showed the travelers coupon which I bought at Taizhong and asked the aunty where a platform of the sightseeing ship was.

"This no take ship. I exchanges a ticket"
She handed me a ticket of the ship and said.
"You go left. Show it the person of red clothes"
Because she pointed towards the right, I asked, "The right?"
"Yes, right....The right."

I was going to pay for meal charges on the bills, and I handed her any hundred dollar bills.
"That's all.," She told me cut off small money and returned me a hundred dollar bill.
I have met such an aunty often 37 years ago.
However, she was a living fossil now, you know?

日月潭へは台中からそれほど遠い距離ではありませんがバスで2時間ほど掛ります。
乗降客のため途中街中に立ち寄るので時間を要します。

到着したときには正午を回っていました。
カタコトの日本語を話す食堂のおばちゃんに誘われて入ったのは、さかな料理の店でした。
総統魚と称する当店自慢の料理があるというので、それを頼んだら煮鍋を運んできて火を着けてくれました。
腹が減っていたせいもあり美味しくいただきました。

台中で買ったトラベラーズ・クーポンを見せて、おばちゃんに観光船の乗り場を訊ねると
「これ船乗れないよ。うちで切符替えるよ。」
船のチケットを持ってきて言いました。
「これ赤いの服の人に見せる。
あれの角ところ、ひだり行く。」反対の方を指差しているので
私が「みぎでしょ。」と言うと
「そう、みぎ。・・右。」

伝票に記されていた食事代を札で払おうとしたら
「これでいいよ。」と言って端数分を切り捨て余分な札を返してくれました。
こんなおばちゃんにも37年前はよく出会ったものですが
今ではシーラーカンスみたいな存在となりましたね。
