Yesterday and the day before yesterday, I went to my grandfather's house for the Bon Festival.
お盆なので昨日おとといと祖父の家に泊まってきた。
I usually went there sometimes, so I did usual.
普段でも時々祖父の家に行っているのでほぼいつも通り。
On my way to his house, I visited my relatives' houses and relatives came to my grandfather's house.

"Usually" gives to its following verb a sense that the action is still being done, sometimes. Thus, it's weird to use it with Simple Past(=went). It's better to use the Simple Present with it.

I met relatives (whom) I can't / don't usually meet.
Adverbs denoting time and frequency are usually put before the verb.

[couldn't] = You couldn't meet them usually then, but now you can. E.g. if you moved to your grandfather
[can't/don't] = You don't meet them usually, regardless of you visiting them now.
