Nina : My first journal in the USA (1)

After 15 hours flight, I arrived in USA on last weekend. I was so excited to here and face to the new life. I have never been here before. Everything gives me a novel feeling.
Two days after I arrival, I decided to go to downtown to buy some goods with my friends. From the other students, I knew we need to take bus to there.
Unfortunately, we forgot to take our bus schedule. So we have no choice but to wait. After 30 minutes, there were no buses pass here. I was so disappoint and sad because that day was a tropical day. And then, just as I was settling down, a bus appears on the horizon. I ran toward to the bus quickly. And to my utter dismay, I saw “Out Of Services” on the head end when I think the best thing was come. The driver made many of gesture means sorry to us. So I prepared to wait next bus. At the same time, my friend ran to the bus and say something to the driver, maybe he talked to him that we were so tired and wait to the bus for a long time, I think he just wanted to try if it's possible. Little did I know the bus driver told us get on the bus. We got on the bus in surprise and so we were so glad to him, he chated with us on the way to downtown. He told us he has been stay in China about 6 years and welcome us to the United States.
I have never met the thing before which made me very happy and gratitude. It made me feel that people in Vermont are very friendly which can say I can see smiles everywhere. That was a great experience, even I feel a little tired when I come back dorm. I think it can be described in “Every cloud has a silver lining”. I love USA, I love the people here.

Nina
06.2011
