It was my day off yesterday.
Usually this implies that you have the whole day off. If you need to specify that, I would recommend saying, "Yesterday, I had the whole day off." or "I had the whole day off yesterday."

Usually ingredients is used if you're talking about a specific dish or type of food. If you want you can say food or something else.

Nothing! Fridge is just a shorter way of saying it. ^^

Generally, every sentence should start with a capital letter.
