What I am trying to write is:

Then, the mailman rode an elephant in order to move faster.
其れから、飛脚は象を乗りましてために素早いを運びます。

Can you please correct my translation :)

Normally, we don't use kanji for "それから". You need to write a reason before "ために", so I wrote that way.

Is this a sentence in novel or something?? '飛脚' is OK if you are saying about mailmen who were in 'Edo period' that is the period of the year 1603～1867:D

  • それから、配達人はより早く（郵便物を）運ぶために象を乗りました。それから、配達人はより早く（郵便物を）届けるために象に乗りました。

    mailman=飛脚というのは古い言葉なので、「配達人」にしました。

    飛脚は江戸時代（Edo Era....about 250 years before)ぐらいの言葉です。現代では使いません。
    動くmoveですが、届ける（todokeru＝deliver）のニュアンスを入れてみました。
