私の友人には海で、船に乗ってする釣りがとても好きな人が居て、私を誘ってくれます。
I have a friend who likes fishing on ships on the sea very much, and he sometimes invites me.

でも私は子供の頃から乗り物に酔いやすく、船には特によく酔います。
However I easily get sick when I ride something, especially ships, since I was a child.

悔しいので、何とか克服しようとしましたが、今の所解決していません。
I have been frustrating about it and I have tried to get over it many times in vain.

言葉ではないのですが、明らかに何か同じフレーズを繰り返しています。
What she speaks is not language, but she obviously repeats the same phrase.

毎日何となく違うフレーズが気に入るらしく、飽きずに同じフレーズを何度も何度も話します。
She seems to like somehow different phrase every day, she doesn't bored speaking the same phrase over and over.

女の子はよくしゃべるとききますが、言葉がしゃべれるようになったら、ずっとしゃべるようになりそうです。
I have heard that girls speaks much. I think that she would speak all day when she could speak language.

70歳は昔はとても長寿だったので、特別な伝統的なお祝いが日本にはあります。
There is a traditional special celebration in Japan because 70 was very old in past old days.

昨夜、私は母と姉を自宅に招いて小さなお祝いの宴会をしました。
I invited my mother and sister and had a small party for celebration last night.

母にとっては、ごちそうより孫と長く遊べることの方が楽しかったようです。
It seemed that my mother enjoyed playing with her grand daughter for a long time rather than eating big meal.

今日は午前中の仕事がとてもヒマで、時間が過ぎるのがとても遅く感じました。
My business was very slow in the morning and I felt that time had passed very slowly.

いろいろ雑用を済ませられるのでありがたいのですが、あまりヒマだと困ります。
I can do some chores thanks to that, but I feel bad when my business is too dull.

会社全体がヒマだと私の給料も下がるかもしれないからです。
When the entire company is slow, my salary might decrease.

でも、昼食がゆっくり食べられたのでそれは幸せかも。
Nevertheless I may be a little bit happy because I had much time to have lunch.

私の一歳半の娘は最近戸を開けることができるようになりました。
My one and a half years old daughter comes to open doors recently.

おそらくそれがうれしいのでしょうが、よく居間から他の部屋への扉を開けて出ていきます。
I think she is happy to be able to do that. She often opens the door from living room to other rooms and goes out.

ただし、扉を閉めることはまだできないらしく、いつも開けたままになっています。
However it seems that she can't close doors yet, so she always leaves the doors open.

暖房で暖まった居間が一気に寒くなるので、その度に私が閉めに行かないといけません。
I have to go and close the doors each time she does that because the room warmed by heater gets cold suddenly.

日曜日には妻に家事を休む様に勧めているので、今夜は外食しました。
I usually recommend my wife to rest her chores on Sunday, so we ate out tonight.

私の妻はとても料理が上手なので、外食するとがっかりすることが多いです。
My wife is very good at cooking, so we often disappear when we eat out.

高級なレストランなどに行けばいいのでしょうが、そんな所に毎週はいけません。
We should go to fancy restaurant, but I can't take her to such a place every week.

今日もあまりおいしくない上に高かったので、妻は自分で作った方が良かったと言っていました。
They also served expensive and not very good food today, so my wife said that she should have cooked on her own.

テレビを見ていると、模様替えが趣味だというタレントが出ていました。
I watched a TV personality on TV who liked changing her room's interior furnishing.

彼女は賃貸住宅に住んでいるので、後から剥がせるように壁紙の上に壁紙を貼っていました。
She put new wallpapers on original ones because she can remove them when she wants to do so.
It is because she now lives in an apartment for rent.

冷蔵庫も自分の好きな色に塗っていました。
She painted her refrigerator with her favorite color.

でも、まだ一度もお客さんを呼んだことがないそうです。
However, she has never invited anyone to her home yet.

私の娘はまだ一歳半で、本を読んで聞かせてもページを途中でめくったりやぶったりするばかりします。
My daughter, who is just one and half a year yet, often tear or turn the pages of the book which I read for her.

先日、友人に幼い娘の教育と遊びを兼ねて積み木を買うことを勧められました。
The other day a friend of mine recommended me to buy bricks for my daughter's education and pleasure.

そこで早速積み木を買って、娘に積む様に促してみました。
I bought bricks soon and let my daughter lay them.

しかし、娘は積み上げる事より、積んだ積み木を壊すことの方がよっぽどお好みのようです。
However, it seems like my daughter prefer breaking piled bricks than laying them up.

日本の冬はとても寒いので、足がとても冷えます。
Since it is very cold in Japanese winter, my foot are very cold.

最近は薄くても暖かい下着が売られているので、服を重ね着している人が多いです。
You can buy thin but warm underwear these days, so people often wear multiple clothes.

日本では湯たんぽという布団の中に入れるお湯を入れたポットがあります。
In Japan, there is a pot which includes hot water. You take it into your bedding.

ただし、直接皮膚に当たらないようにしないと低温やけどになって、大けがをします。
However, you might be seriously burned with low temperature if it touched directory to your skin.

I often have a group counseling with some colleagues.

多くの人々と話していると、ものの考え方や性格が人によってとても異なることに気づきます。
Through conversations with many people, I have noticed different people have clearly different ways of thinking and characters.

また、アドバイスや経験をいわゆるオープンマインドで受け入れられる人の方が人生を楽に生きられる事に気づきました。
I have also noticed that people who can receive advises and experience with so-called open minded can live their lives comfortably.

日本は四季がとてもはっきりしていて、冬はとても寒くなります。
Japan has distinct four seasons and its winter is very cold.

私の住んでいる地方では雪は降りませんが、それでも部屋の中はとても寒くて暖房が欠かせません。
It doesn't snow in the area where I am living, but we need heater since it is very cold in the room.

私の小さい娘は、最近ボタンを押すのがとても好きなので、電灯でも暖房でも手が届くボタンをなんでも押します。
My little daughter, who loves to push buttons at the minute, pushes any buttons of the lights, the heater or anything within her reach.

いつのまにか暖房を消されていて寒さでそれに気づくことが時々あります。
I sometimes noticed that the heater is turned off by her because of the cold.

The amount of my blood cholesterol turned out to be high through the last regular medical check.

私は体重も身長もほぼ平均でどちらかといえば痩せています。
My weight and height are almost average. I am rather thin.

最近仕事が忙しくてほとんど運動ができていませんでした。
I have been busy at my business and have rarely worked out these days.

また、仕事が遅くなることが多く、夕食の時間が遅くなりがちでした。
Moreover, I often came home late and tended to have dinner late at night.

1歳半の娘がしばらく前から風邪をひいています。
My one and half a year old daughter have been sick for a while.

昼間はとても元気で熱などもありませんが、夜中に咳が激しいので心配になります。
She is very lively and has no fever in daytime, but she coughs severely at night. So it makes me nervous.

気道に痰が絡まっているのでしょうが、咳の後に一時的に息が止まってるように聞こえるのです。
Maybe because there is some sputum in her air way, it sounds as if her breath stopped.

しかし実は風呂に入っている時に亡くなる方は結構多いのです。
Many people actually die during a bath.

特に冬には浴室の温度が低いので急に体温が変化するためと考えられています。
It is supposed that sudden change of body temperature because of the low temperature in the bathroom especially in winter may cause this.

My wife who likes removing my white hair and sometimes sees my head says that there have been some crust on my head.

私もカサブタやフケが落ちるとカッコ悪いので頭をかくのを止めたいのですが、それはとても気持ちいいのです。
I want to stop scratching because it's not good when crust and dandruff falls, but scratching head makes me feel so nice.

なにかいい方法があるでしょうか？

The pub permits people to smoke the same as most of Japanese pubs.

私はたばこを吸わないので、たばこのニオイがとても嫌いですが、たいていお酒を飲む場所では日本では喫煙可能です。
Since I don't smoke, I hate the smell of tobacco. Most places where people drink are allowed to smoke in Japan.

喫煙と禁煙に対しては色々な人のいろいろな意見があると思うので、私の個人的な感情を社会全体に強制するつもりはありません。
I know there are various ideas of various people, so I don't want to put my personal feeling to entire society.

ただ、私のように感じている人もそれなりにいるらしく、禁煙の居酒屋さんができたとニュースで見たことがあります。
I think some people feel like me. Because I have watched the news　that a non smoking pub opened.

しかし、その後、団体の予約があまり入らないため、禁煙のシステムは中止されてしまったそうです。
I have heard that the system was stopped because the pub couldn't get very many group reservations.

Yesterday morning, when I left home she said she felt slightly dull.

夜に帰るとかなり消耗して鼻水も黄色くなっていました。
I came home in the evening, she was very tired and her nasal discharge turned to yellow.

そして、妻が風邪をひくと私も大抵かぜをひくので、おそらく数日以内に私も病原菌に感染されるでしょう。
When my wife catches a cold, I usually catch it, too. I would be infected by germs within a few days.

私は朝7時前に起きるので、夜は10時半から11時には寝るようにしています。
Since I usually get up a little before 7:00 in the morning, I make a rule to go to bed between 10:30 and 11:00 in the evening.

娘が寝ている時には、夕食を妻と二人で8時半ころから食べますので、食べ終わるともう9時を回っています。
When my daughter has already been sleeping, I start eating dinner with my wife from around 8:30 and finish eating it after 9:00.

妻は一日中娘の相手をして疲れ切っていますので、二人でゆっくりと夕食を食べるのが一日の疲れをいやすのにとてもよい時間なのです。
My wife is exhausted from taking care of my daughter all day, so eating dinner together slowly is good time to heal tiredness of the day.

ただし、娘が寝ない時にはゆっくり優雅に食事すると言うわけにはいきませんので、帰った時に娘が元気に遊んでいると、複雑な気分になります。
We can't eat slow dinner with elegance when my daughter is still awake, so I feel complicated when I come home and see my daughter play around cheerfully.

私の仕事はほとんど一日中机の前に座ってキーボードをたたいている仕事なので、とても首から腕に負担がかかります。
Since I have to sit on the desk and hit keyboards almost all through the day, it's hard for my neck and arms.

よく首や肩が痛くなるのでほとんど毎日早朝に20分ほど柔軟体操をしているのですが、それでもあまりひどいと吐きそうになることがあります。
Though I usually do some stretch for about 20 minutes almost every early morning for that, I sometimes feel throwing out when the symptoms is really hard.

私の友人の場合はl、片腕が時々痺れて、明らかに冷たくなることがあるということで、今日MRI検査を受けるらしいです。
In my friend's case, he sometimes gets numb and feels obviously cold on one of his arms. I've heard that he is going to undergo MRI test today.

しかし、困ったことに友人は閉所恐怖症なので、画像の精密さに劣るオープンタイプのMRI検査しか受けられないと言っていました。
He said that as he had claustrophobia to his annoyance, he just could take open type MRI test which had lower precision.

美味しいものを食べさせてくれるので文句を言ってはいけませんが、私はそれがあまり好きではありません。
I shouldn't say anything stupid as my wife cooks delicious food, but actually I don't like it .

そこにおいてある服は、たぶんとてもセンスがいいのだろうと思いますが、正直な所、見てもよくわかりません。
I think the clothes there perhaps have good sense, but honestly I can't understand them well when I look at them.

そこで、そこの店に行った時だけは、店員さんの勧めてくれたものを何も考えずに買うことにしています。
I have decided to buy clothes which shop staff recommended me without thinking just when I go there.

自分のファッションの幅を広げてくれると思っているからですが、高いので、かなり勇気がいります。
It is because this would innovate my sense of fashion, but as they are expensive, I need to be brave.

特にどちらがいいとは思わないのですが、私は直接床に布団を敷いて寝ます。そのほうが、布団をたたむと部屋が広く使えるからです。
I think either way is good, but I prefer putting my bedding directory on the floor, because I can use my room broader after folding my bedding.

ただ、私は枕元にメガネを置いて寝るのですが、朝、まだ暗いうちに起きた家族が私のメガネを踏んでしまうことがあります。
I usually put glasses by my pillow when I sleep, then someone of my family who wakes up when it's still dim sometimes step on my glasses.

以前ケースに入れて寝るようにしていましたが、私の一歳半の娘はケースからわざわざケースから取り出して踏みつけていました。
I once tried to put it in the case when I slept, but my one and half a year daughter took the trouble to take it out and stepped on it.

妻はどうしてそんなことをするのか不思議がっていましたが、彼女も先日踏みました。
My wife who had wondered why my child did such a thing stepped on my glasses the other day.

娘は健康でほとんど風邪などもひかないのでありがたいです。
I thank my daughter that she is healthy and rarely catch a cold or something.

しかし、気に入らないことがあるとすぐに床に転がって大声で手足をバタバタさせて泣きわめきます。
But when something she dislike happens, she easily falls down to the floor and cries loudly moving her extremities wildly.

私たち夫婦にとっては最初の子供なので子供はみんなそんなものだと思っていましたが、どうやら違うようです。
Since she is the first child for my wife and me, we have thought that all children do such a thing, but it doesn't seem to be true.

先日友人が2歳の子供を連れて我が家に来た時に、あまりに私たちの娘が大声で鳴いたり暴れたりするもので怖がって泣いてしまいました。
When my friend visited my place with his two years old daughter, she was frightened and cried since our daughter cried or behaved wildly so much.

The book I am reading now is very interesting. It's so famous book that you may have read it.

最初にその本が面白いな、と思ったのは石器について説明してある所でした。
I first found the book interesting when I read the part that explains about stone implements.

石器時代は打製石器の時代から磨製石器の時代へと進歩しましたが、その理由を私は今まで知りませんでした。
In the Stone age, stone implements evolved from chipped stone tool to polished stone tool, but I didn't know why.

あれ？マニアックすぎてこの話、興味ないですか？

私は以前は毎朝走っていたのですが、子供の世話があるので、最近は休みの日、つまり週に二日だけ走っています。
I used to jog every morning, but now I have to take care of my child, so I have been jogging just on my holidays which are twice a week.

ちなみに最近日本ではマラソンがブームなので、寒い中でもジョギングをしている人が多いです。
By the way, marathon has been in fashion in Japan lately, many people are jogging even in a cold weather.

走った後に関節を冷やすために冷たい水で足を流すようにしているのですが、今は水が冷たすぎて足がしびれてしまいます。
I usually shower my legs with cold water to cool them down, but the water is too cold and my legs get numb.

そこで、お湯と水と適当にまぜて温度を調整してから足を冷やすようにしています。
So, I mix hot and cold water to adjust the temperature of the water properly and cool down my legs.

そしてそれ以降、正社員になりづらく、パートタイマーになりやすいという傾向があるのです。

夜中に泣いたりすることもあるので、妻も私も寝不足気味で、朝は少しでも長い時間寝ていたいのです。
Since she sometimes cries at night, so my wife and I tend to be sleepless and want to sleep as long as possible in the morning.

私は普段、朝に英語の勉強をすので、起きてノートパソコンを開きます。
I usually study English in the morning, so I start my note PC when I get up.

すると娘が膝の上に乗りたがって、両手をあげて近寄ってきます。
Then, my daughter comes up to me raising her hands because she wants to sit on my lap.

でも、膝の上に抱き上げるとキーボードを無茶苦茶に叩くので勉強どころではなくなります。
But when I lay her on my lap, she slaps keyboard at random, so I can't study at all.

娘はまだ幼いので、ものすごくゆっくり歩き、いろんなところで立ち止まるので、ほとんど前に進みません。
My daughter, who is very young, walked very slowly, stopped at many places, and hardly moved forward.

すぐに手が泥だらけになるので手をはたいて汚れを落とさなければなりません。
Her hands soon gets muddy, and I have to clean her hands by slapping them gently.

昨日は寒かったので、きれいな景色の場所を独り占めできました。
Since it was chilly yesterday, we could monopolize beautiful scenery spot.

しかし、娘は疲れて座り込んでいました。
But my daughter was tired and had been sitting on the ground.

大学受験用の参考書がよくまとめられていて勉強するのによいと聞いたので、買ってみました。
I heard that textbooks for the entrance examination of college was good, so I bought them.

図や年表などがたくさんつかってあって、大体のアウトラインを覚えるのには役立ちました。
They were useful to remember general outline of history because many figures and chronological tables were used in them.

ただし、どうしてそういった出来事がその時代にその場所で起こったのかについてはあまり詳しい解説がありません。
But they don't explain very well about why those incidents happened at that age and on that place.

そこで、今度はもう少し詳しい本を買ってきて、今、それに挑戦しています。
So, I bought a more detailed book and I have been trying it.

インターネットで調べてみると、鼻から水を入れて口から出すうがいが効果的だと書いてありました。
When I found it out on the internet, people say that gargling from nose to mouth is effective.

もちろん普通の水では鼻が痛くてできないので適切な濃度の食塩水を使います。
Of course normal water cause pain to your nose, you should use adequate density saline.

それ専用の器具もネットで購入して、うがいをはじめてみましたが、コツがつかめるまでは何度もむせてしまいました。
I bought its specific tool and began gargling, but I had been choked many times before I got used to it.

しばらく続けてみようと思います。
I would like to continue that for a while.
