We can find a speaker is young or old and man or woman by Japanese langage but can't find by English langage.
日本語は話し方で老若男女を見分けることができるが、英語はできない。

例文
I like dog.

女性「私は犬が好きよ」
男性「俺は犬が好きだ」
少女「あたしはワンワンが好き」
少年「ぼくはワンコが好き」
老人「わしは犬が好きじゃ」

    どちらも入っていなくても通じるとは思います。

 
本当に日本語は人称代名詞が多いですね。
【日本語の一人称】：私、私（わたくし）、僕、俺、俺様、自分、儂、あたし、あたくし、あたい、わい、あだす、うち、おいら、おら、おいどん、吾輩、某、麿、小生、あっし、あちき、妾、拙者、手前　【英語の一人称】：I
という比較もあります。現在ではほとんど使わないものも多いですが、すべて一人称の代名詞です。

二人称にも英語のyou一つだけというのとは比べ物にならないくらい多いです。
あなた、あんた、君、お前、貴様、などなど。たくさんあります！

私は日本人なので、英語の練習にLang-8を使っています。Lang-8をやっていると、日本語は難しいな、と感じる場面が多いのでこのような日記を書いてみました。

If I read comments online from people, I don't know if they are male or female. I usually assume they are male unless I pick up on little things that only a girl may write.

I see. Male and female have same speech words. I think reading novels in English is more difficult than Japanese.

The same words exist for both sexes in english, but there are differences in speech patterns among the sexes that are easy for a native to understand.

btw, Ena, I love learning the grammar words for japanese that native japanese use (because foreigners never get the chance to learn them), so feel free to use japanese terms about grammar in your entries.
