In 1998 I went to Norway. That year CISV, an international summer village, had a month of fun (I can't even express this in English in a good way, any ideas?). My delegation/team got to know a lot of people, from Thailand, USA, Canada, Israel, Argentina, France, Germany, etc. Each day (of the camp) a country shared their typical food (of the country). I remember Thailand's day. Wow, we a soup. Very spicy! All the time I could hear people shouting "I need water! I need water!" It was a massacre.
The next year my family went to Thailand. I tried a lot of Thai cuisine. I've never eaten so much rice in my entire life. We ate with chopsticks. In the beginning it was very difficult, but after I while I got better.
We ate some very strange food in Thailand, like octopussy, Pad Thai and Tom Yum Kung, which is a shrimp soup.

“一个汤”有点怪怪的, 一种汤--> a kind of soup.
