There are many clubs in my high school, and I am the adviser to the photography club.
Six years ago, when I became the adviser to the photography club, there were only four students in the club. Since then, the number of club members increased year by year, and there are twenty-four students in the club now. So, the members are doing many activities as the photography club lately. For example, they take pictures of flowers, animals, or students who do another club's activities.
However, to tell the truth, I don't know anything about photographs and cameras at all. So, at first, I thought it was strange that I would become the adviser to the club.
Besides, I became the adviser to the swimming club in addition to that of the photography club this year. Needless to say, I have no experience to swim, so I have no experience to teach swimming.
It's a usual club activities, I think.

６年前、ぼくが写真部の顧問になった時には部員は４人しかいませんでした。しかしその後、部員数は年々増え続け、現在では２４人になっています。それゆえ、部員の人も、花や動物、他の部活動の生徒の写真を撮ったりして、充実した活動をしています。
しかし、本当のところ、ぼく自身は写真やカメラのことをまったく知りません。それゆえ、最初は、自分が写真部の顧問になるということは違和感がありました。
更に今年、写真部の顧問に加えて水泳部の顧問にもなってしまいました。言うまでもなく、泳いだ経験も、泳ぐことを教えた経験もありません。
それが普通のクラブ活動なのだと、自分では考えています。

advisor is like a consultant. So I think you mean supervisor?

So, the members are doing many activities lately.
For example, they take pictures of flowers, animals, or students who are doing other club activities.
'other club activities' generally means 'another club's activities'
'another club's activities' is not wrong. But it sounds a little clumsy to read, like a tongue-twister.
So, at first, I thought it was strange that I would become the supervisor of the club.
In addition, I also became the supervisor of the swimming club this year.
'In addition' already automatically includes the photography club, so there is no need to mention the photography club again.
Needless to say, I have no experience in swimming, so I have no experience in teaching how to swim.
I think "supervisor" is called "監督(kantoku)" in Japanese. In this entry, I used the word "adviser" in order to express a job called "顧問（komon）" in Japanese high school.
In other countries, I guess there is no such job corresponds to "顧問(komon)".
In my Japanese-English dictionary, "顧問(komon)" is translated to "adviser", but it may be inexact.
